GRAS were awarded second place in the open design competition promoted by Belfast City Council and the Royal Society of Ulster Architects for a new Architecture and Design Centre in Belfast. The jury described the project as follows:

The entry displays an extremely sophisticated and measured approach to extracting maximum value from the best features of the existing facility. The degree of intervention is minimal but well judged, resulting in a flexible, user friendly, uncluttered space for exhibitions, workshops or meetings.
